Heathkit SB-401
Has all the crystals so it can operate as an independent transmitter if you do not have a SB-301 receiver.
80 W or more output on all bands except 29.0 - 29.5 MHz. 29.0 - 29.5 band acts dead even though the oscillators are running.
I have been using it for CW. USB and LSB work on the bench but looking for a proper microphone to try it out on the air.
Aesthetically it looks quite good for its age. Sticker inside from Heath service center is marked 1977.
I disassembled the LMO linear master oscillator cleaned all the gearing and bearings and re-assembled. No the vfo tunes smooth - really smooth; no 'warbling' or knob-jockeying to get the rig on frequency.
I see these on ebay going for outrageous amounts. Make me a reasonable offer.
I have a strong aversion to the idea of shipping this; I prefer to meet someone in person show them it works before paying. I am located in Clearwater Florida.
If delivered in FLorida we will charge sales tax.
